Oshkosh voters approve Referendum For Learning

By a margin of 59.4% yes (about 7,324 votes) to 40.6% no (about 5,004 votes), local voters approved the Referendum for Learning which will allow the Oshkosh Area School District (OASD) to exceed the state-imposed revenue limit by $3.95 million per year for seven years.  CLICK HERE for the full press release.

Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce Supports the OASD Referendum For Learning

School Board Approves Budget Reduction List for 14-15

At their regular board meeting on Wednesday, February 26th, the Oshkosh Area School District Board of Education approved $2.5 Million dollars in reductions that would need to be enacted if voters reject the Referendum For Learning to be held on April 1, 2014.  For a detailed list of what will need to be reduced CLICK HERE.  All presentation materials have been updated with this information so that voters will have all the information they need in order to make an informed decision.

Long and Short Versions of Presentation Posted

Version 3.3 of the Oshkosh Referendum For Learning Informational Presentation has been posted on the Oshkosh Schools Referendum Website.  A long version with more detailed slides as well as a shortened version with fewer slides is available from the resource documents area on the website.  Most people will want to access and use the short version so we have placed the longer versions in a separate folder if needed.

Oshkosh Board of Education Authorizes April 1 Referendum

At their January 8th Board Meeting the Oshkosh Board of Education voted unanimously to authorize an April 1, 2014 referendum asking voters for permission to exceed revenue limits for a period of 7 years in the amount of $3,950,000 per year.  The resources would be used for district operations and technology improvements.  Please visit the Oshkosh Area School District Referendum Website for up to date information.
